First Listen: Effin follows up on ‘Lettuce’ with another leafy green monster, ‘Cabbage’ [Stream]

Effin is putting himself on the map, one bulldozing bass weapon at a time.

The emerging Icon Collective alum’s next headbanger, titled “Cabbage” comes a few months after “Lettuce”—both monstrous, hair-raising bass works. Though, unlike it’s predecessor, “Cabbage” finds Effin introducing his latest barrage of low-end mayhem with moody, distant sonics before low pass filters and pitched-down vocal chops give a hint to what the listener is actually in for.

Designed to rattle stage rails, “Cabbage” is a growling festival ammunition from front to back. Still squarely under the bass umbrella, with a fitting home on Never Say Die, the track still manages to show creative strides for Effin, as he continues to build his profile as one of the genre’s newest forward-thinkers.
