After more than eight months since its last iteration, a new WHO IS MALAA mix from house music’s masked avenger has materialized, no doubt to his fervent following’s maniacal merriment. Although it’s been a while, the mysterious Frenchman is still at the forefront of driving, propulsive beats. A significant departure from his previous mixes, though, this mix lends itself to the bouncier, Ibiza-friendly sound that’s enthralled the next phase of house music fanatics in recent months.

Stand out tracks from the mix come from a variety of house mavens including “Off” from Dale Howard, a notable Elrow release, in addition to Martin Ikin’s latest release on Toolroom, “How I Feel,” which does serious damage in the midst of this half-hour house-cursion. The world may not be any closer to knowing who Malaa really is, but his sonic identity remains crystal clear.
