Exclusive: Anna Lunoe looks back on summer season with retrospective mix ahead of CRSSD return

San Diego’s biannual waterfront who’s who of electronic hot topics, CRSSD festival, will return September 28-29 for its fall 2019 arm, featuring a both a plethora of its cornerstone house and techno talent, plus a number of avant-garde electronic—including Richie Hawtin, Moon Boots, Kaskade, Hot Chip, and Anna Lunoe.

Lunoe, a longtime CRSSD contender who’s played both the fall and spring editions of the painfully cool West Coast affair, is looking ahead to her Sunday slot at The Palms stage. To prepare, she’s looking back on this past summer, packing some of her fondest anthems of the bygone festival season into a half-hour mini mix. Lunoe uses the 30-minute display to prove she’s down for the get down, and she’ll be holding no sonic punches this weekend at Waterfront Park. Accenting the mix with both Lunoe originals (“303” and “Badass”) and crowd-corralling stompers like Damien N-Drix’s “Let It Ring,” the recent Mad Decent habitué gives listeners a tantalizing taste of her resounding DJ capabilities.

“This mix is representative of the sets I was playing at the beginning of summer at big festivals,” Lunoe says of the selects.”But I plan on bringing some new vibes to CRSSD. The crowd there is always so ready to go deeper. I have no idea where I’ll go with it yet. Time will tell.”

Tickets to CRSSD are completely sold out.
