RÜFÜS DU SOL release two-part remix album, ‘SOLACE REMIXED’

In the context of SOLACE REMIXED, the expression “the more the merrier” is certainly apt. The three-part effort consolidates remixes of SOLACE album inclusions from 17 different artists, including Audiofly, Icarus, Hot Since 82, Cassian, Justin Martin, and Will Clarke, among others. A cohesive collection of alternative takes, SOLACE REMIXED duplicates the original track list of SOLACE across two separate remix albums. Altogether, the format brings listeners two different remixes of each song that originally appeared on SOLACE.

A pensive and lyrically vulnerable contemplation about a love that at times seems requited, and at other junctures, strained, to say the least, SOLACE foreground three distinguishing elements of RÜFÜS DU SOL’s style: multi-dimensional instrumental work, trance-inducing melodies, and the velvety texture of lead singer Tyrone Lindqvist’s vocals.

RÜFÜS DU SOL’s experimentation with indie-electronic technics on the LP led to standout soundscapes that were distinctive on account of their depth, and infallible in their ability to ensnare listeners. Now, thanks to the diverse visions of SOLACE REMIXED‘s contributing artists, listeners can experience the arresting artistry of SOLACE anew.
