Alison Wonderland and QUIX strikes with eclectic remix package for their ‘TIME’ project
“TIME” showed off a different side to Alison Wonderland and QUIX‘ collective musicality. Take for instance the former’s “High” with Enschway featuring Trippie Redd—an already festival-ready piece that QUIX managed to make even more explosive. The inspiration for “Time,” however, stemmed from a trip that lead to an idea to make a song that stretches time, thus leading to an unexpected aesthetic for their debut joint project. Now, a variety of remixes have extended the lifespan of the track, further stretching the project’s metaphysical clock.
Remixers include a low-end thumper from SLUMBERJACK, a serene cooler from Madnap, a house forward thriller from BARILAN, and a festival ready tweaker from Yvng Jalapeño. QUIX is set to release his brand new EP IDK [Vol. 1] this Friday off Steve Aoki’s Dim Mak, a four-track EP that brushes grimy and distorted tones onto effervescent, dark bass music.
