Apple has officially unveiled their newest device, the AirPods Pro. The tech giant delivered the latest news through a press release on October 28. The AirPods Pro see improvements from its predecessor, namely with increased functionality in noise cancellation, water-resistance, wireless charging, and more.

The AirPods Pro feature active noise cancellation that integrates two microphones in each earbud to intercept background noise and cancel sound accordingly. Apple has also incorporated adaptive EQ to tune low and mid-level frequencies in real time in relation to the user’s ear shape. Users also have the ability to toggle between active noise cancellation and a Transparency Mode that allows background noise to pass through the earbuds.

The design of the new AirPods differs slightly from the original and include flexible silicon ear tips that come in three different sizes. Its charging case has also changed to a rectangular shape. The case features both a lightning port and wireless charging.

The new device will contain the same battery life as the regular AirPods—four and a half hours of listening time with noise cancellation and 24 hours of listening time with the case.

The AirPod Pros are available to purchase for $249 here and begin shipping October 30. They are also available in stores this week.
