Electric Forest likely to be extended for 10th anniversary in 2020
Electric Forest is coming up on a big birthday in 2020. The festival is set to kick off its tenth iteration next year, and while details have yet to be officially confirmed, it seems Electric Forest may extend it’s current four-day format to mark the occasion. Earlier this year, Costa Rica’s Envision Festival announced expansion plans for 2020 that see the festival extending to a week-long event. Forest faithfuls may likely be in for similarly good news as Rothbury’s Village Council met on October 22 to “review and act on the application for a mass gathering permit by Electric Forest, LLC.”
Additional unconfirmed details from the special meeting signal to extended festival programming hours, early arrival options, and a rumored 10-year extension at the event’s current host venue. The meeting’s official minutes should be made public shortly, though, with Electric Forest’s strong relationship with their host city and a solid track record over the last nine years, chances of an official extension seem highly likely.
