Ah, trap arms. Never was there a more liberating expression of unabashed hype than the arms up, elbow-throwing two-step of a raucous trap set. And there is perhaps none better to serve up a stone cold 90-minutes of rattling trap, hip-hop, and bass than Paauer—the aptly titled, rare team up of electronic trap dons Baauer and Party Favor.

The pair open their back-to-back at Brownies & Lemonade‘s block party event earlier this year with a jump-start edit of Lil Wayne’s “A Milli,” and from there dive into a setlist laced with goodies from Good Times Ahead, Flosstradamus, Wuki, 4B, RL Grime, Ape Drums and more. The setlist reads like a highlight real of trap’s best, from two of the genre’s favorite sons. Party Favor and Baauer have both come a long way since the days of “Bap U” and “Yaow,” but with a set glued together by top-notch throwbacks, it’s hard not to miss those good old days.
