Dillon Francis has officially a global publishing deal under Big Deal Music Group and Diplo’s Mad Decent Publishing, becoming the first artist in the industry to do so.

With a fan base as hearty and loyal as any in the industry, Francis makes the perfect first acquisition for the Diplo-fronted publishing partnership. Co-founder of Big Deal Jamie Ceretta has publicly stated his desire for “partners who have a history of taking chances artistically and making them count,” as fitting of a description as any for the DJ/producer/social media personality triple threat that is Dillon Francis. Big Deal Music Group and Diplo’s Mad Decent Publishing could possibly stand as a bridge between the dance music community and folkier, jazzier and indie sounds, with Big Deal Music having a roster including St. Vincent, Weyes Blood, and Kamasi Washington.  

Dillon recently released his Magic is Real mixtape, the much anticipated followup to 2015’s This Mixtape is Fire. The seven-track burner not only found its home on Mad Decent, but also becomes Francis’s first release included in the global publishing deal, with all of his future releases included in the agreement as well.
