Kaytranada has announced the completion of his next album on social media. The forthcoming release will be his second full-length LP and follow his 2016 debut studio album 99.9%. The Montreal artist and his smooth execution of funky electronic and R&B fusion have seen him take on collaborations with counterparts Anderson .Paak, Syd tha Kyd, AlunaGeorge, and more.

Since the release of 99.9%, Kaytranada has dropped one-offs sporadically. His latest track “DYSFUNCTIONAL” came out earlier this year, featuring VanJess. His collaborative tastes have also linked him with Ty Dolla $ign and Shay Lia on a two-tracker, Nothing Like U / Chances back in November 2018. On the production side, Kaytranada has reaped credits on Lauren Faith’s “Jheeze“, Shay Lia’s “Cherish“, and ANTWON’s “What I Do“.

“When the album comes out, I swear I’m gonna be everywhere. I’m gonna be, like, not just staying here in this basement making beats all the time,” stated Kaytranada in a recent interview with The FADER. “I’ll be like a fucking bird from the nest, just fucking flying away to be free.”
