Glastonbury announces Taylor Swift to join Paul McCartney and Diana Ross as 2020 headliners
Glastonbury festival will be celebrating its 50th anniversary this year in Pilton, Somerset, England, and the renowned event has announced that Taylor Swift will be closing the festival down with a headline performance on the Pyramid Stage Sunday night.
The announcement of Taylor Swift joining the lineup comes after the event’s initial November announcement that Sir Paul McCartney would be joining Diana Ross as headliners of the festival. This will be Swift’s first time performing at the festival. Swift is the first female artist to top the bill since Adele in 2016. Friday’s headliner is still to be revealed but festival organizer Emily Eavis recently said it would be a male artist, playing the festival “for their first time.”
Tickets to Glastonbury 2020 sold out within 34 minutes of going on sale, with 155,000 passes total being purchased. Glastonbury Festival will take place from June 24-28.
