Kanye West‘s gospel collective, the Sunday Service Choir, vocally power West’s latest studio album, Jesus Is Born. The 19-track gospel-rap endeavor follows the October release of Jesus Is King. Jesus Is Born melds genre staples such as “Balm in Gilead” with gospel renditions of West’s own work. “Ultralight Beam” from The Life of Pablo is but one example.

On Jesus Is Born, West is hardly out of his newly forged gospel wheelhouse. An album featuring the vocal chops of West’s highly regarded Sunday Service Choir appeared a natural next step for the producer, and it’s one that he now takes in homage to his faith.
