Tony Harlow appointed new CEO of Warner Music UK

Tony Harlow has been appointed the new CEO and chairman of Warner Music UK. His predecessor, Max Lousada, held the position since 2013 and served as both the labels CEO and CEO of recorded music as of 2017. Warner Music UK is home to Atlantic Records, Parlophone Records, Warner Records, Rhino Records, Warner Classics, and ADA—signing an impressive roster of artists including Charli XCX, Foals, Jess Glynne, Muse, and more. The London-based label has seen a widely successful year with 30 weeks total holding the British singles chart top position.

Harlow’s history with Warner dates back to 2010 when he signed on as managing director for Australasia. He then went on to assume the role of president of global artist and label services arm of WEA. His accomplishments span the expansion of streaming-focused marketing and integrations of platform acquisition Songkick, EMP, and UPROXX. Harlow’s music industry career also brings in years of executive and leadership experience at the likes of EMI, EMI Music Australia, Richard Branson‘s V2 label, and Universal Music Group.

“As an entrepreneurial leader, he has a progressive and ambitious vision for where the business needs to go next. He’ll be a great mentor to the next generation of creatives and executives, building an environment where original talent is nurtured and challenged,” stated Lousada.

Harlow will assume the position of CEO and chairman in February 2020.
