Drum ‘n’ bass champion Edward Holmes, known as Optiv, reported dead

Edward Holmes, better known under his stage name Optiv, has passed away. Holmes first gained a following for his work in the influential group Cause4Concern. He went on to have a successful, multi-pronged career in dance music. His prolific catalog includes solo work under his Optiv alias, as well founding his Red Light Records imprint.
The cause of death, as well as circumstances surrounding his death, have yet to be specified. Many public condolences have poured in from Holmes’ producer peers, like Andy C, The Prototypes, and fellow Cause4Concern counterparts.
