In addition to debut album, Ekali announces new side project launching in 2020
2020 will yield brand new LPs from a myriad of dance artists, and two of them will be Ekali‘s. After a consistent promotional streak behind his forthcoming debut album, A World Away, with the release of successive singles like the ILLENIUM-aided “Hard To Say Goodbye,” Ekali has announced that the project will make its formal, full-length arrival in 2020.
On top of “A World Away”, the solo album I have a side project album almost done as well for 2020.

A World Away will be flanked by another studio album, according to Ekali’s recent Twitter announcement that he has “a side project album almost done” for 2020 in addition to A World Away. The opening cut on this elusive secondary album, which Ekali touts as his “favorite song” that he’s ever made, bears the name “Fairytale” and involves artist Elohim.
Track one on the album is my favourite song I’ve ever made. It’s called Fairytale with Elohim

Ekali did not divulge further details about this enigmatic alias and its accompanying album, but did describe the project’s sound as house music “with a different twist.” After a wildly successful turn of the decade, Ekali is putting the pedal to the floor in 2020. Stay tuned.
