‘King of Summer Jams’ Todd Terje returns to Amsterdam’s De Marktkantine this Friday
Disco laureate Todd Terje whisks away the winter woes at De Marktkantine this Friday, bringing his warm, upbeat grooves back to Amsterdam’s club scene for the first time in five years. The Norwegian producer is known by many to be central to his home region’s lighthearted yet eclectic electronic sound for the past decade (and by others for his inclusion in the Better Call Saul soundtrack), with “Inspector Norse,” the lead single from his 2014 LP best defining his sound.
Courtesy of head chef Terje, the evening’s menu consists of funky arpeggios and rolling retro basslines on the main floor courtesy of with support from local Dutch duo SHMLSS and accompaniments coming from Tsepo playing b2b with Lucky Done Gone in the middle room. There aren’t many DJs who describe their sonic flavor palette as fruity, but few bring the vibrance and zest quite like Terje.
Tickets to the event are officially sold out but limited sales will be available at the door after 10pm.
