Avicii’s posthumous album, ‘TIM,’ wins two Swedish Grammis

Avicii‘s posthumous LP, TIM, won two Grammis at the Swedish awards show, according to TIM co-producer, Carl Falk. The album was released in June 2019 after Falk and fellow producers completed the project, approximately two-thirds of which had been completed by the late DJ prior to his death in April 2018.

When someone close to you passes, the emptiness becomes a mission. [Avicii] told me that this was the first time he’d enjoyed making music in years, so I had to make this as good as I could to honor him and our friendship.

-Falk

Falk, who met Avicii in 2010, finished “Ain’t A Thing,” “Bad Reputation,” and “Fades Away.” Vincent Pontare and Salem Al Fakir of Vargas and Lagola oversaw “Piece of Mind,” “Tough Love,” and “Excuse Me Mir Sir,” each of which had been co-written with Avicii.
