Cancún Music Week takes off as city celebrates 50th anniversary
The city of Cancún has served as a popular escape since emerging in Mexico’s Yucatan peninsula 50 years ago. It’s attracted millions of locals and travelers alike to its shores across its half-decade tenure to experience its tropical climate and white sand beaches, locking in its position as a tourist capital with the addition of its airport. With the right infrastructure in place to move into its next phase, Cancún now looks to establish itself is a central dance music force with the inaugural Cancún Music Week.
Cancún Music Week, founded by XKYY Enternatinment is setting itself to be the “the most comprehensive, and essential, International Electronic Music Conference in Latin America,” according to its release. Akin to conferences like Winter Music Conference and Amsterdam Dance Event, Cancún Music Week’s programming includes a bevy of TBA industry panels, workshops, and of course, club nights. The conference will be spread out across multiple resorts in the area with a homebase at the Breathless Resort & Spa in Riviera Maya, kicking off with an opening party promising a top tier billing.
The conference is also partnered with The Tourism Promotion Council and Hotel Association of Cancun & Riviera Maya, to offer guests peace of mind and an array of bespoke travel packages. More information can be found here.
