Kraftwerk celebrates 50 years with 3-D stateside tour

Decades in the game and still pushing boundaries, Kraftwerk returns in 2020 with its celebratory 50th Anniversary 3-D tour.

The iconic electronic group returns to the states for the first time in 4 years, playing coast to coast over 27 summer dates. Considered by many as “The Godfathers of electronic music,” Kraftwerk changed the musical landscape by fuzing freeform experimental rock with some of the earliest Moog synthesizers. What’s most impressive though, is how so much of their earliest music has managed to stand the test of time. Take a look at one of their earliest performances, for example, a set recorded from German television in 1970.

Over the years, Kraftwerk has stayed at the forefront by continuing to utilize technology without being afraid to bend the rules, leading to legendary bookings at places like New York’s MOMA in more current times. Tickets for 2020’s tour go on sale on February 27 at 10 a.m. local time. Find the full tour schedule below.
