Watch Porter Robinson share the early inspiration behind his latest, ‘Get Your Wish’
Porter Robinson recently threw his hat in the ring for the most anticipated electronic LP of the year with the announcement of Nurture. The producer’s sophomore studio effort, and follow up to his groundbreaking debut Worlds, has yet to be assigned an official release date, though Robinson has already shared the album’s lead single, “Get Your Wish.” Between singles, Robinson has taken to social media to share some of the inspiration behind his latest delivery.
In a short clip, Robinson shares the groundwork ideation that would eventually permeate to “Get Your Wish” nearly a year and a half later. Having started the concept for the track in October of 2018, the piano arrangement shared in the clip is instantly recognizable when listening to the finished product. As fans wait with bated breath for the next trickle of material from Nurture, a little inside look at the record’s first single helps paint an outline of what Robinson has been working on.
