Katy Perry reveals pregnancy in ‘Never Worn White’ visual [Watch]
Over the course of her career, Katy Perry has donned many looks, from a braces clad ’80s girl in “Last Friday Night” to an Egyptian queen in “Dark Horse,” and now, pregnancy is one of them. The pop sensation gracefully shared the news with her fan base that she is expecting her first child via her newly released music video for “Never Worn White,” Perry’s first single since 2019’s “Harleys in Hawaii.” The camera follows Perry, who first appears in a tasteful cream-colored dress, as she verbalizes her readiness to marry fiancé Orlando Bloom.
From its use of many different hues to its inclusion of at least one ornate outfit, specifically Perry’s cornucopia-esque floral gown, the video is very much a Perry production. However, if viewers thought they had come to have known all of the vocalist’s steps over the years, it is almost certain that they could not have foretold the visual’s ending, which shows Perry caressing her baby bump as a gauzy, translucent skirt ruffles in the breeze.
More new music, in addition to a baby, is presumably also on the way for Perry, who shared a clip from the music video on Instagram with the caption, “Let’s just say it’s gonna be a jam packed summer.” Perry’s fan base at large has taken that to mean that the singer’s next studio album, the follow-up to 2017’s Witness, is slated to arrive this summer.
