Lady Gaga postpones ‘Chromatica’ album amid COVID-19 pandemic, reveals scrapped Coachella surprise

Lady Gaga announced her Chromatica album will be pushed back due to COVID-19. The project with lead single, “Stupid Love,” co-produced by Tchami, was supposed to be released in full on April 10. Her statement on social media spoke to her not feeling right releasing a project that should bring joy and healing during this frightening global pandemic. Gaga also mentioned she would announce the new release date soon.

The release of her sixth studio album was garnished by various surprises surrounding the release date such as a secret Coachella set. Gaga has not commented on weather she’d make it up to fans at the October re-schedule. The “Shallow” songstress also had Las Vegas shows in late April and early May that were postponed, however, her May 13, 15, and 16 shows are still planned as scheduled.

Chromatica will be Lady Gaga’s first album release in four years, since 2016’s Joanne.
