Live Nation prepares to pause all tours as COVID-19 concerns grow

As COVID-19 concerns continue to expedite internationally, Live Nation is planning on pausing its touring shows. Announced early Thursday, March 12, the impending action will affect all Live Nation tours, domestic and international. The announcement comes on the heels of the entertainment conglomerate’s shocking stock plummet on Wednesday, March 11.

Current touring arena shows will be halted through the end of the month. While a few shows will continue on Thursday and Friday, Live Nation has postponed the majority. Tours affected include Billie Eilish, Jason Aldean, Zac Brown Band, Cher, Kiss, Post Malone, Tool, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Shania in Vegas, Chris Stapleton and many others.

Live Nation has instructed employees to work remotely and plans to re-evaluate the situation at the beginning of April with the intention of resuming touring in either May or June. The company has not planned layoffs.
