Calvin Harris is lone DJ on Sunday Times Rich List
In retrospect, Calvin Harris‘ 2014 Motion inclusion, “Dollar Signs,” now seems a sort of sonic foreshadowing for the producer, who has been named the 16th wealthiest artist in the United Kingdom (UK) by the Sunday Times Rich List.
An accounting of the 1,000 most affluent in Britain across industries, the 2019 roster of the UK’s richest currently includes Harris, who ranks at No. 16 on the music industry list with an estimated wealth of £180 million ($195,118,200). Harris’ cameo on the tally of Britain’s wealthiest personalities should hardly come as a surprise: the producer regularly appears on Forbes’ annual highest-paid DJ list.
Notably, Harris is the only DJ to grace the Sunday Times Rich List’s music section, which is topped by both Andrew Lloyd Webber (£800 million) and Paul McCartney. Rihanna, Ed Sheeran, and Adele also figure on the record, at £468 million, £200 million, and £150 million, respectively.
