Primavera Sound announces first wave of 2021 lineup: Gorillaz, Tame Impala, Disclosure, and more
The news has been littered with event postponement and cancellations in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, however Barcelona’s Primavera Sound is making a different (sorely missed) kind of headline—a lineup announcement. Primavera was set to celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2020 after pushing the original festival dates from June to August. Festival organizers ultimately postponed until June 2 – 6, 2021, and now fans have a heavy-hitting slate of talent to help amplify their excitement for the 2021 event.
Primavera Sound’s 20th anniversary boasted an impressive lineup including Pavement, The Strokes, Beck, Tyler the Creator, and many more. These artists are still set to play in 2021, and new additions include Gorillaz, Tame Impala, FKA Twigs, Charli XCX, and others. The festival is set to announce more acts in the coming months.
All tickets purchased for the 2020 festival will be honored for the 2021 event. Tickets for the 2021 iteration will be available beginning June 3 via the festival’s website.
