Encapsulating 10 glimmering tracks, the fresh record finds the Texas trio hone in on their eclectic craft with a previously-unheard emphasis on vocal incorporation. Preceded by three singles, “Time (You and I),” “So We Won’t Forget,” “Pelota,” and their charmingly distinct visuals, Mordechai presents another effortless installment in the globally-influenced band’s discography.

Ripe with hazy nostalgia and serene instrumentation, the album traverses theories in undefinable memories through the form of dub, psychedelically-infused soul, and funk blend. In proper Khruangbin style, Mordechai succeeds in an evocation of distant places, ideas, and times.
