Adam Beyer releases first solo material in five years

Techno icon and Drumcode boss Adam Beyer is back with his first solo material on his label in five years, No Defeat No Retreat. The LP opens with “Park People,” a synth-fueled club scorcher that pushes the tempo from the get-go. The title track is comparatively mellow, as subtle trance elements and a distorted vocal loop serve as the track’s core elements.
Beyer’s last solo material prior to No Defeat No Retreat was his 2015 EP, Stone Flower. Although he has refrained from solo releases, Beyer nevertheless has maintained a steady collaborative schedule over the past half-decade, working with the likes of Bart Skils, Green Velvet, and Layton Giordani, among others.
