Lido continues ‘PEDER’ rollout with release of ‘Rise’
Lido has shared the third track, “Rise,” from his upcoming LP, PEDER. Due September 19, 2020, PEDER will tell the story of a child who grows up on a spaceship. Fittingly, the visual for “Rise” shows the protagonist exploring an interstellar landscape littered with musical instruments.
“Rise” is reportedly also the latest installment in A Boy On A Spaceship, a children’s book that Lido wrote to thematically flank his forthcoming album. Based on the track list that Lido shared on Twitter, “Rise” takes place early on in the narrative, while the previously released singles, “Postclubridehomemusic” and “How To Do Nothing,” are nearer to the story’s end. Interestingly, the empty landscape in “Rise” contrasts sharply with the dense cities that Lido traverses in earlier videos for his PEDER inclusions, but solitude remains a constant throughout them all.
