Moore Kismet preps new EP with badass bass single, ‘Adore’

Moore Kismet dropped the second single, “Adore,” from their forthcoming EP, which is set to drop on August 14. The song is a collaboration with Leotrix, one of Kismet’s good friends and inspirations. The 15-year-old producer and Leotrix will be releasing the forthcoming project via Never Say Die.

“Adore” beings with a serene landscape of syncopated percussion elements that frolick through a lush synth-scape. A soft violin harmony guides the ever-so-menacing build toward impending synth destruction for a heavy bass break that contrasts nicely with its alluring predecessor.

Speaking on the single, Kismet said,

“Adore is one of my favorite tracks I’ve ever made… Ethan started this track for an old EP awhile back, and I wanted to work on it so badly since he had no plans to finish it. I started to work on it, but it didn’t sound right to me, [so] I left it alone for almost a year.

Fast forward to when the idea of a new EP was proposed to me. I knew I wanted Ethan involved, so I decided to revisit the track. Within the span of two days, the version of Adore that you hear today was born.”

Make no mistake—dance music is born from black culture. Without black creators, innovators, selectors, and communities, the electronic dance music we hold so dear would simply not exist. In short, dance music is deeply indebted to the global black community and we need to be doing more. Black artists and artists of color have played a profound role in shaping the sound and culture of dance music and now more than ever, it is necessary for everyone in the music community to stand up for the people that have given us so much. Dancing Astronaut pledges to make every effort to be a better ally, a stronger resource, and a more accountable member of the global dance music community. Black Lives Matter—get involved here:
