ZHU flips Tinashe and Ms Banks’ ‘Die a Little Bit’
To open his 2020 run, ZHU shared an ominous and sultry collaboration with Tinashe, “Only.” Just two months later, the duo are back at it as ZHU gives a deep remix to Tinashe’s “Die a Little Bit” featuring Ms Banks. Trackside’s production on the original Song For You track already sounded prime for a ZHU flip, with subtle production over a steady bass line providing the rhythm and space for Tinashe and Ms Banks to shine.
On his take, ZHU keeps the song largely intact, but leans into the house stylings to give the remix his own unique spin. Additionally, he adds in some extra elements to amplify the tune’s energy, including an acidic synth and a sinister piano line. All in all, it’s more proof that ZHU and Tinashe make for an effortlessly excellent combination.
