3LAU delivers 2020 in a song through first STMPD Records release, ‘Apocalyptic’
After putting out a majority of his releases on his own not-for-profit label, Blume, 3LAU has begun a slow return to commercial label releases. This time, the producer disperses a fiery new single, “Apocalyptic,” via Martin Garrix‘s own STMPD RCRDS. It is 3LAU’s debut release on Garrix’s label.
The commanding single transports the listener to a rave in outer space. Pulsing big room notes lay the foundation for explosive breaks paired with building notes that would best be accompanied by a hectic light show. The track’s title signals the end of the world as we know it, and needless to say, the single is a fitting accompaniment to the world as we know it in 2020. “Apocalyptic” is 3LAU’s second original of the calendar year, following “At Night” with GRABBITZ.
