KSHMR puts flawless future-house spin on MGMT classic, ‘Kids’
KSHMR continues to surprise us this summer. Following the announcement of his new DREAMZ side project last week, the star producer has released a wildly infectious future-house take on MGMT’s 2007 hit, “Kids.”
A collaboration with Italian producer Stefy de Cicco, KSHMR’s 2020 “Kids” revamp taps Toronto singer-songwriter MKLA for vocals. Reworking a song of such widespread success is no easy challenge, but the trio undoubtedly did justice to MGMT’s legendary original. Groovy house drums topped by the original song’s catchy melody produce an unbeatable summer vibe to get fans through the rest of the seasonal swelter.
With the release of the new remix, KSHMR took to Twitter to announce that he would be using his take on “Kids” to raise awareness for Hyderapals, a charity providing education and childcare for children at the Patashala School in Hyderabad, India. Read his full post below.
