Lane 8 and Yotto reconvene for inspiriting collaboration, ‘Buggy’
After teasing a new collaboration, Lane 8 and Yotto have delivered on their promise with their second joint release, “Buggy.” Following their initial congregation on “I/Y” in 2019, which landed via Lane 8’s This Never Happened, the close friends have exchanged favors again, this time dropping the single on Yotto’s Odd One Out. Both producers have been busy with their respective plans, Lane 8 with a massive release streak including singles, “Shatter,” “Run,” “Matcha Mistake,” and more, and Yotto with imprint-heading duties for his newly-launched label.
Combining the respective forces of both electronic stalwarts, “Buggy” steadily builds progressions over masterful mixing and driving bass lines. Multi-layered with mellifluous harp-like synths, distant reverbs, and a distinctive hook, the track comprises ever-precise production with sonic attentiveness. With idiosyncratic traits from Lane 8’s nostalgic tonalities and Yotto’s melodic energy, “Buggy” proves to be a recipe for enduring dancefloor zest.
