MK continues remix streak with ‘After All’

MK has always been up for a remix opportunity, but in 2020, he’s taken it to a new level. From Diplo and  SIDEPIECE‘s “On My Mind” to Alessia Cara‘s “I Choose,” MK has brought his playful stylings to nearly every subgenre of dance music this year. Now, the house heavyweight is back with another track that further supports his candidacy for remixer of the year.

N:Fostell and AmeliaCee’s original, “After All,” already sounds like a beach party anthem, but MK ups the summertime mood to a new height. By incorporating a short vocal hit and timeless dance elements, MK nudges the track towards house while maintaining its pop sensibilities.

The latest remix comes during a month that’s already seen MK in a fair number of headlines. The week of August 17, MK shared the joyous video for his single with Carla Monroe, “2AM.” Additionally, at the beginning of August, MK sued his management company for $3.5 million over a “legally improper” contract, citing “false promises and concealing material facts” as points of contention that justified legal action.
