No Mana, Voicians rendezvous on ‘Only Noise’ follow-up, ‘The Same Way’
Following a formidable, highly-diversified debut LP is no small feat, but No Mana is ever up to the challenge. After realizing a watershed in February with the release of his first longform production, Secret Level, No Mana has broken his post-album silence with a refined Voicians reprise: “The Same Way.”
The mau5trap resident first broke collaborative ground with the producer/vocalist on Secret Level inclusion, “Only Noise.” The cooperative spark lit during the pair’s earlier work has sustained in the time since, providing the impetus for a sonic sequel, “The Same Way.” Clocking in at a cooly contained four minutes and 41 seconds, the follow-up to No Mana and Voician’s initial joint effort is as much an exposé of the former’s demonstrated technical skill as it is of their creative synergy together. Engaging No Mana’s established electro house and progressive house proclivities, the enveloping number plays to the producer’s strengths, as the duo yet again raises the bar.
