Stream the first-ever ‘Michelle Obama Playlist’
As Spotify continues to develop its podcasting and playlist strategy, former First Lady Michelle Obama is becoming a predominant featured figure on the platform. The author of the New York Times bestseller, Becoming, started The Michelle Obama Podcast, an exclusive Spotify offering, in late July. Fittingly, the podcast’s first guest was Obama’s husband and former US President, Barack Obama.
The podcast host recently shared a playlist to accompany her show called “Vol 1: The Michelle Obama Playlist.” The first volume in the series includes a grip of songs that are either featured in or “inspired by the first season of the podcast,” Obama said in a statement.
Song included in the playlist include Mereba’s “Black Truck,” Beyoncé‘s “Black Parade,” LION BABE’s “Hit The Ceiling,” Jhené Aiko and H.E.R.’s “B.S.,” Tierra Whack’s “Pretty Ugly,” Teyana Taylor and Erykah Badu’s “Lowkey,” Chloe x Halle’s “Do It,” and many more #BlackGirlMagic stunners.
