Watch: Tame Impala deliver intimate performance in latest ‘Tiny Desk Home’ episode

Tame Impala are the latest guest to appear on NPR’s popular Tiny Desk series, which features high-profile musicians delivering intimate live performances. However, with COVID-19 precautionary measures keeping many at home, NPR has shifted the series to “Tiny Desk Home,” allowing artists to deliver these rare performances from the comfort of their own homes.

The Australian psychedelic pop group’s songwriter, Kevin Parker, leads the performance from his home music studio behind a small desk, where he can be seen holding his mixer. Other Tame Impala members, Jay Watson and Dom Simper, control various samplers in the back. Together, the three talented musicians deliver an astounding performance of recent releases, “Is It True” and “Breathe Deeper,” as well as last year’s hit, “Patience.”

The 16-minute soother is nothing short of exceptional. Watch the trio jam out in Parker’s home below.
