Alyx Ander links with veteran vocalist Mýa on new house cut, ‘Without You’
You know her voice from Pras and Ol’ Dirty Bastard’s 1998 smash hit, “Ghetto Superstar.” You may know his voice from the newly launched Day Life program on SiriusXM. Now, Mýa and Alyx Ander have linked on a new tune, “Without You,” by way of Spinnin’ Records. While the track is just now seeing the light of day, the collaboration has reportedly long been in the works—according to Alyx Ander, it took more than a year and a half to complete.
The Miami-based producer has had a marquee year in 2020, netting releases on Insomniac‘s imprint and Perfect Havoc before landing his new Spinnin’ feature. Alyx Ander recently had Mýa has a guest on the Sirius airwaves where the pair discussed the tune’s collaborative nature and the unforgettable studio session that yielded the new material. With grooving piano arrangements and sharp, floor-ready percussion, “Without You” is surely a playlist ignitor through and through.
