DubVision issue wider release of ‘Higher Ground’ rework for Martin Garrix, John Martin

Martin Garrix and the DubVision brothers have consistently maintained a close-knit relationship. From Garrix’s “Backlash” edit in 2014 to the duo’s longstanding run of Garrix reworks, to a suspected collaboration that premiered earlier in the year, the artists’ sounds have seemed to line up faultlessly.

Initially released exclusively through Amazon Music and briefly teased in Garrix’s Tomorrowland Around the World performance, DubVision’s “Higher Ground” remix for Garrix and John Martin has now suddenly received the full go-ahead from STMPD RCRDS. Having previously reconfigured a Garrix original in 2019’s closing moments with their “No Sleep” account, DubVision is now tacking onto their king-sized release calendar this year.

The “Higher Ground” remix incontestably appends to the brothers’ reawakened house direction, and while some may feel heavy hearted at their mild movement outside of the classic progressive space, DubVision provide yet another commendable twist on a more modern generation of house.
