Insomniac announces EDC’s return to Europe for 2021
For the first time since Electric Daisy Carnival’s final appearance in the UK in 2016, Pasquale Rotella and Insomniac Events have disclosed that their flagship festival brand will be making its long-awaited return across the pond in the new year. Originally established in 2013, EDC’s UK edition lasted four years before unfortunately being cancelled ahead of its 2017 installment due to the Milton Keyes event not meeting Rotella’s expectations. The news comes just one day following a report that EDC Mexico will be pushed back to a later date in 2021, adding to a long list of Insomniac events outside of EDC Las Vegas that are currently without a confirmed schedule.
While a return to the UK may assuredly be in the cards, the festival announcement did not specify where exactly the 2021 festival would be held, instead citing “a VERY special location” in Europe as part of EDC’s 25th anniversary festivities next summer. More concrete details are reportedly to be revealed in the coming weeks and months.
Although the outlook of the pandemic remains up in the air as the 2021 festival season draws closer, hopeful attendees are able to sign up here for more information surrounding EDC Europe as it becomes available.
