Jerro returns to This Never Happened with uplifting ‘Closer’ EP

Belgian producer Jerro and Lane 8‘s imprint This Never Happened have a long history of excellence together. In 2019, the melodic house maestro made a name for himself on TNH with his Pantheon and The Fool EPs, including the biggest hit of his career to date, “Lake Nivu.” Jerro took a brief hiatus to supply one of Anjunadeep 11‘s standout tracks “Tunnel Vision” with vocalist Kauf, but now he makes his extended return to TNH on his new EP, Closer.

Closer opens on lead single “Demons” with Sophia Bel, a track powered by Bel’s delicate vocals and an inspired synth line. The remainder of Closer is instrumental, but maintains Jerro’s signature uplifting sound for an all around mood-boosting listen. In a statement, Jerro described his latest EP,

“I can’t begin to express how excited I am to finally release my ‘Closer’ EP, I personally think it’s my best work to date and This Never Happened is the perfect label for it. The EP has a little something for everyone, ‘Ignis’ and ‘Demons’ are sure to be crowd-pleasers, ‘Mouie and ‘Closer’ are great listener tracks and ‘Sturdy’ is one for my dedicated fans. Hope you enjoy!

Closer marks the continuation of This Never Happened’s remarkable release pace. Most recently, label boss Lane 8 shared his Cross Pollination project with loads of features including Yotto, Massane, and Hexlogic. Additionally, the imprint released the fifth edition of its Roots to Branch showcase series in August.
