Project 98 links with Michael Shynes for house-infused gem, ‘Desire’
Austrian prodigy Project 98 is pumping out tunes for heavy bass and house enthusiasts alike, as the 22-year-old DJ/producer continues his 2020 stride with his latest single, “Desire.” Hailing from Graz, the rising artist has racked up millions of streams in 2020 alone, many of which stem from hit singles such as “Party People” featuring Giorgio Gee, “Work That” with SKVNK, and more. Broadly, the vintage car lover’s sound resembles Destructo‘s and SNBRN‘s, with G-house elements that make people bounce.
Released via prominent German dance label, BEFORE EIGHT, Project 98’s latest release sees him team up with American R&B/folk singer, Michael Shynes. “Desire” is driven by catchy, motivational vocals from Shynes and a pounding kick on the bassline, with a dance-worthy drop consisting of heavy synths and lyric chops. The collaborators had some words to share about the new tune, stating,
“The song desire was born out of an idea that one unique event can completely alter the course of what you want in life. The purpose of this collaboration was to move people’s emotions and bodies, whether in the car or in a soon-to-be reopened club.”
