Yotto unveils new ambient single, ‘Maggio,’ from ‘Reflections Vol. 1’
Following Anjunadeep‘s announcement of the forthcoming compilation series, Reflections Vol. 1, the beloved imprint has enlisted Yotto for the newest single to come from the collection. Titled “Maggio,” the ambient track journeys into softer soundscapes, featuring a rarely-seen side from the melodic house stalwart.
Embedded in tranquility, the track builds from a melancholic chord progression as masterfully constructed string plucks and harmonious synths gradually warm the downtempo production. Both soothing and nostalgic, “Maggio” arrives as an introspective and sophisticated release from the Anjunadeep resident, who said of the single,
“Sometimes, at night, I don’t make music for nightclubs but instead, make music for lonely fireplaces that are left cold. I think it’s profoundly sad and fireplaces should always be kept reasonably warm. ‘Maggio’ is a song for my fireplace that I use too rarely.”
Arriving October 5, Reflections Vol. 1 will feature an intimate tracklist with contributions from not only Yotto, but also Lane 8, Qrion, and Nox Vahn, among others.
