ZHU shares first solo track since 2018, ‘Risky Business’
After mixing up his sound on his pop-infused single “Follow” with Jeremih and Kito, ZHU looks to be back in his element on his latest release. “Risky Business,” which made its public debut at ZHU’s Cercle performance, features all of the sonic facets that the versatile, enigmatic producer has built his following on: dark club rhythms accentuated by eclectic instrumentation. It’s a musical style no one else has perfected like him, and “Risky Business” is another example of ZHU’s mastery over his craft.
Though he’s maintained a steady release schedule, “Risky Business” is ZHU’s first wholly solo track since 2018. In that time, he’s worked with an elite profile of artists, including Tinashe, Bob Moses, NGHTMRE, Sofi Tukker, and more. This week marks the two year anniversary of Ringos Desert, ZHU’s sophomore album which earned the title of Dancing Astronaut‘s Top Album of 2018.
