ATTLAS instills nature on two-track release, ‘Faya / The Crack’

Continuing his journey of sonic cultivation, ATTLAS proceeds to illuminate soundscapes on his newest two-track EP, Faya / The Crack. The mau5trap resident further hones in on halcyon textures as he explores the unification of melodic statements and dance-ready tempos. Inspired by experiences within nature, the release marks ATTLAS’ official debut on Lane 8‘s This Never Happened—only preceded by his remix of the label head’s track, “Little By Little.” Earlier this year, the Canadian luminary delivered his debut studio album Lavender God.

First showcased during Lane 8’s sunrise set at Colorado’s Grand Lake, “Faya” accumulates all of ATTLAS’ emotive intuitions into one inspiriting production. Beginning with a soft awakening of bright-eyed sounds, the track bridges into crisp drums and poignant synth progressions, the latter of which are magnified by ATTLAS’ attentive construction of sentimental harmonizations. On the second cut, the electronic aficionado turns to subtle execution as he exercises minimal, yet powerful elements. Sturdied by a glowing melodic loop, “The Crack” traverses through a steady stream of momentum as delicate plucks and balmy instrumentation fold into the auditory narrative.
