With 2020’s event on the horizon, Amsterdam Dance Event has hooked up with electronic music visionary deadmau5 for an exclusive pre-ADE playlist. The latest installment in ADE’s “mood of the year” series, deadmau5’s playlist follows prior submissions from Alesso, Black Coffee, Boris Brejcha, and Dutch icon, Tiësto. “mood of the year” is produced in partnership with Deezer and, as the series’ title indicates, is intended to sonically embody the curating producer’s 2020 frame of mind.

deadmau5’s playlist follows in suit with his recent mixes, highlighting the talent-filled roster of his imprint label, mau5trap. The playlist opens with the rising action of Jay Robinson‘s “Pomegranate” remix before veering off into soothing and deep house cuts from Eddie, No Mana, and ATTLAS. The playlist comes full circle with Robinson’s recent single “What You Do,” adding a dash of tech-y swag with Example on vocals.

ADE takes form later this month from October 21 – 25 and will be more accessible than ever thanks to this year’s new Digital Pro Pass. The event is currently set to host conferences and DJ sets online, with limited in-person events available for those already in Amsterdam. Stream the playlist on Deezer here or below.
