Pendulum cement return with live performance in middle of the English Channel [Watch]

Pendulum have plotted their return to the electronic sector with pomp and circumstance, closing a decade-long gap with not one, but two recent singles, and most recently, a live set recorded from Spitbank Fort in the middle of the English Channel.

A 150-year-old ex-military fort based in the Solent between Gosport and the Isle of Wight, Spitbank Fort has made history at various points in time. The fort notably provided military protection for ships in the English Channel through two world wars, and now, proffers the platform for a performance that effectively elevates Pendulum’s live presence.

Stationed atop Spitbank Fort, Rob Swire, Gareth McGrillen, and Peredur Ap Gwynedd orchestrate an hour-long electronic affair that intermingles “Nothing For Free” and “Driver” with a host of other selections, including a brand new song that Swire has since confirmed to be a collaboration with Hybrid Minds, “Louder Than Words.” The full-length outing can be viewed in full below.
