Phantoms dish late-night beats on new ‘Moonlight’ EP

2019 was a monster year for Phantoms, with the release of their acclaimed EP, Disconnect, and lead single “Say It” debuting at No. 1 on the iTunes Top Electronic Chart and on US Dance radio. The momentum carried them through a Disconnect tour to follow, selling out venues in LA, Seattle, New York, and some of their biggest festival slots to date.

Despite the current state of the world, this LA-based duo knows how to keep fans in high spirits, releasing “One In a Million” earlier this year and seeing support from tastemakers at BBC Radio 1 and Sirius XM, as well as keeping up their own DJ endeavors. These include their recurring comedic radio show “Is Everyone Ok?” on Diplo’s Revolution and, more recently, a Sunday brunch stream called “The Dive” via Insomniac.

Released on Casablanca records, the Moonlight project is everything fans would desire from Phantoms, including late single “Want To Know,” combining evening drive house rhythms with a pop-infused hook, and title track “Moonlight” featuring Sarah Close, fueled by a disco-influenced bass-line, bright harmonies, and an insanely catchy chorus. Another stand out includes “Somebody,” the EP’s intro, which provides signature pitched vocals and piano riffs that delve into a deep, and much needed breakdown to get people moving. Listen below.
