SLANDER establish Heaven Sent label with Fairlane and Jonathan Mendelsohn collaboration, ‘Hurts Sometimes’
There is, inarguably, a shortlist of artists who hold enough of a dedicated following to ignite a label of their own, and SLANDER surely fall under that banner. Doubling up on top of their co-owned Gud Vibrations imprint with NGHTMRE, the duo is branching out to formally introduce Heaven Sent, which will serve as a more melodically-directed musical outlet. It was only fitting that the birth of SLANDER’s label be paired with its debut release, and they’re doing exactly that as they team up alongside Fairlane and Jonathan Mendelsohn for “Hurts Sometimes.”
As those who tuned into SLANDER’s Virtual Vibes set from Black Rock City just one week prior to the record’s release know, “Hurts Sometimes” did not sit long inside the ID vault. The collaboration wholly embodies SLANDER’s Heaven Sent mission and provides the new venture with a choice baseline moving forward, anchoring Mendelsohn’s unfeigned lyrics with a state-of-the-art melodic dubstep foundation from both SLANDER and blooming Canadian up-and-comer, Fairlane.
