Chris Lake, Armand Van Helden announce collaborative EP, ‘The Answer’
Chris Lake and Armand Van Helden have a collaborative four-track EP in the works, The Answer. The EP’s first single (its title track) will be released on November 20.
“The Answer,” featuring Arthur Baker and Victor Simonelli, is already showing signs of a funky house tune driven by soul samples and a four-on-the-floor groove. The lead single from the forthcoming project is currently available for pre-order on Beatport, but an official landing date for The Answer has yet to be declared.
The Answer will be released via Black Book Records, capping off a hot streak for Lake’s imprint. In recent months, the tech house label has hosted numerous singles from the likes of Cloonee, Marco Lys, Biscits, and Chris Lake himself. Meanwhile, Armand Van Helden has had a busy year resurrecting his Duck Sauce project alongside A-Trak, which has included several singles and the launch of their Duck, Duck, Goose podcast.
